The five-bedroom house was built in 2003 and boasts panoramic views of Charleston Harbor and the city’s downtown skyline. The property is situated on over 1.32 acres and offers over 7,000 square feet of living space along with custom cypress cabinetry, a gourmet kitchen, and reclaimed, wide-plank heart pine floors. The exterior features a pool looking over the Charleston Harbor and a 30-foot deepwater covered dock on Shem Creek.

The previous record holder for the highest-priced property in Mount Pleasant was a five-bedroom home built in 1830, which sold for $8.65 million in 2021. Mount Pleasant has seen a significant increase in its home prices, with the median listing price being $799,900 in March, a 23.1% year-over-year increase according to data from Realtor.com.
